Moghalu has declared interest in contesting for President in the 2023 General Election and he has stated his 4-point agenda to be:
- Security for all Nigerians and Nigeria’s territory,
- War against poverty: skills, jobs for our youth, and an innovation economy,
- Accelerated education and healthcare reform, and
- Good governance: inclusive, transparent, effective, and accountable
A former United Nation official, an Economist, Lawyer and a Member of Young Progressives Party, YPP, Kingsley Chiedu Moghalu, has declared his interest to contest for President in the 2023 presidential election, listed his 4-point agenda tagged “SWAG”.
Moghalu made this announcement in a statement released today via his official Twitter page.
The former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria noted that he will run for president because the people of Nigeria matter and there is no hope out of our troubles unless Nigeria faces the leadership questions and looks for capacity, competence and a compassionate heart that will work to pull the masses out of poverty.
While uncovering his interest, Moghalu noted that he will run a government with a dream team of highly competent Nigerians from all parts of the country. Along with strengthened, independent institutions, and they will deliver results on a 4-point agenda in four years, if elected.
He stated his 4-point agenda to be, security for all Nigerians and Nigeria’s territory, the war against poverty: skills, jobs for our youth, and an innovation economy, accelerated education and healthcare reform, and good governance: inclusive, transparent, effective, and accountable.
Kingsley Moghalu was a former United Nations official and he has served as Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, appointed by President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, from 2009 to 2014.
