Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho, the embattled Yoruba Nation activist, has faulted the claim by the DSS that a large cache of arms and  ammunition were recovered from his house during a midnight raid in the early hours of Thursday, saying they do not belong to him, but were only planted by the secret service to implicate him.

Igboho stated this through a press statement issued by his media aide, Olayomi Koiki, noting that the operatives of the DSS invaded his principal’s house in a commando style without any search warrant, and without having being invited for prior questioning or interogation, and now turning around to parade a cache of amunnition as exhibits found in his house, even though he doesn’t protect himself with guns, but traditional powers.

Koiki stated further that the Administration of President Muhammadu Buhari has only decided to frame Chief Sunday Igboho because of his perception as a threat to the Fulanisation agenda in Nigeria.

The statement read:

the invasion on my house was done without a search warrant. I was not invited for questioning, investigation at any government facility before the invasion.”

It stated further

“the operatives that stormed my residence destroyed my properties, killed persons and stole valuables and money. Pictures and videos of their atrocities have been widely reported in the media.”

Koiki therefore called the attention of the Nigerian people and the international communities to the fact that the security operatives who invaded the home of Chief Sunday Igboho either planted the ammunition being paraded in the media in his home or merely harvested them from the DSS armoury to frame the activist.

In his word:

The arms paraded are not mine, they are government magic. I protect myself with traditional powers, not with guns.”

Igboho emphasized that Nigerians and the world at large are not unaware of his resistance to the mindless killings, raping, maiming and kidnapping of his people in the Southwestern part of Nigeria by armed Fulani herdsmen, but which the Buhari’s Administration has failed to curb. The gross failure of the government to nib the criminal activies at the bud necessitated his timely intervention to protect his people from the daredevil Fulani herdsmen of the President’s tribe. And this seems to be his greatest sin to the government.

He stressed further that he would have ordinarily not intervened in the issue if the government had lived up to its responsibility of securing his families in the Southwest and the whole country at large, noting he is at loss why the government is now after him even though it is of public knowledge that his intervention has not led to any loss of life or bloodshed.

Igboho declared that his means of curbing criminality is to chase criminal Fulani herdsmen out of their hideouts in the company of the people of the affected communities.

The statement read further:

It is because of the foreseen government persecution that videos of such interventions were transmitted live on social media. Nigerians, the security operatives, and the presidency are aware that I have never moved against the peaceful Fulani’s and other tribes living peacefully in the Southwest. My unjust persecution ― for defending my people and community ― is therefore surprising and unwarranted.”

After several unsuccessful attempts to link me to any crime, the Buhari regime desperately opt to forcefully silence me, so that the criminal herdsmen, who enjoy government’s sympathy, protection and immunity, can easily outrun the Southwest.”

Igboho lamented that the presidency’s desperation and antics to unjustly acquire other people’s ancestral lands across the country to foreign Fulani herdsmen all because they share the same ethnicity with the President is well known to all right thinking Nigerians and the international community as well, noting he is only being seen as a threat to the well orchestrated Fulanization agenda in the country, and thus the desperation to soil his name at all cost.

He said further:

Federal government framed me up and the sequence of events brings the truth bare. Why would the security agents invade my home at night and destroy my surveillance cameras before carrying out their operation if not that they had an ulterior motive? In this modern age of technological advancement, why did the security operatives not put on body cameras to record their activities from the point of entry to their time of exit?
