A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party and former Director General of the NOA, Mike Omeri, has said that some of the findings of the PDP as the party continues to access its outing at the presidential election.

The Nasarawa politician, during an interview on Channels TV, spoke concerning the factors that favored the performance of the Peter Obi’s Labour Party in his state and a neighboring state, Jos.

Addressing the topic, Omeri disclosed that the major thing that affected his party in the just concluded presidential election is that they did not go into the election as a united family, adding that it would have been an added advantage to the PDP if they try as much as possible to solve their internal crisis before the election regardless of the cost.

“In my personal opinion, we should have gone into that election as a united family regardless of the cost, but we did not do that. The PDP is still analyzing what went wrong in the actual election. I discussed this with someone yesterday, and I saw how things played out,” he said

He added, “Even some politicians in the PDP thought that the APC was not at peace with itself, and they thought that we could capitalize on that. However, that was a dummy, from my observation. Losing Lagos is part of the story. Perhaps it will require writing a book someday. I do not think that politicians will underestimate Nigerian youths anymore. This is why the PDP is supporting a young candidate in Nasarawa State.
