Bayo Onanuga has said that the good people of Yoruba land are determined to take back Lagos State; a state in southwestern Nigeria, which of the 36 states in the country, is both the most populous and smallest in area.

The Governorship and State Houses of Assembly Elections hold across the country today, Saturday, March 18, 2023. As the elections progress, many Nigerians are determined to get things right in their various states, by casting their votes for their preferred candidates.

However, while reacting to the state of things in Lagos State, with regards to the gubernatorial election in the state, Bayo Onanuga claimed that Yoruba people are determined to ensure that one of their owns come victorious in the gubernatorial election.

According to him, from the feedback he got from Lagos State today, especially in MOBA Ajah, Yoruba voters trooped out to take back their state from strangers.

Speaking further, he said palpable was deep-seated anger at what they (Yoruba voters) perceived to be an affront to their national identity and boundary.

However, it is unclear who he was referring to as strangers in Lagos. But speaking further, he noted that politics is local, adding that the Yorubas in the All Progressives Congress, APC have the inalienable right to defend their land from people who claim sense of entitlement and want to steal it.

Again, it is unclear who he claims have sense of entitlement and want to steal Lagos State from the good people of Yoruba land.
