Daddy Freeze

An Igbo man identified as Mr. John has said he will never allow his son to marry a Yoruba woman, saying if he does, he will get disowned and lose his inheritance.

In an interview with Daddy Freeze in the early hours of today, the man disclosed this while speaking about some socio-political issues in the country.

During the interview, Mr. John said, “I will disown my son if he marries a Yoruba woman and he will lose his inheritance. Why I am saying this is because I will not want him to experience what Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour experienced during the guber election simply because his mother was of a different tribe.”

The man spoke further saying, “Daddy Freeze, the fact is that in the past, I used to believe that the section of state of origin should be taken out of our constitution until the last Lagos Guber election. I am of the opinion that everyone should be addressed to be from where they reside. Through the last election, I realized that Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour was judged by people simply because his two parents are not from the same place.”

Again, the man said, “I won’t want to see a reason why I will allow any of my grandchildren to go through the same process.”

On daddy Freeze’s end, he said, “I think it is good for parents to raise their children to be detribalized. We can start this by allowing them marry whoever they want and not who we, the parents, want for them.”

What are your thoughts about this?
