A former Nigeria’s Education Minister and ex-Vice President of the World Bank’s Africa region, Oby Ezekwesili, has remonstrated with the Nigerian President and the Federal Government of Nigeria to handle with all seriousness the present issue that links the serving Minister of Commication and Digital Economy, Mallam Isa Pantami, with terrorism so that the country would not be condemned into the class of the States that sponsor Terrorism.
Ezekwesili stated this in a tweet she posted on her verified Twitter handle, calling the Federal government of Nigeria and President Muhammadu Buhari to take very seriously the issue of Mallam Pantami’s terrorism tendencies; as the whole world is presently monitoring and following the ugly development, and looking forward to see how the government of the day will handle it.
In her word: “The @NigeriaGov @NGRPresident @MBuhari may not realize that the world is following the ugly developments on our country’s Minister of Communication and how his government is handling or in fact ignoring to handle it. Nigeria must avoid the List of States that Sponsor Terrorism”, Ezekwesili tweeted.
Ezekwesili has now lent her voice to those who have been calling on the government to take a decisive stand that will show where the government belong on the issue. It now remains to be seen how the Buhari led Administration is going to handle the ugly development, as its action and inaction on the issue may portend a grave consequences on the image of the nation.
