The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has reportedly arrested a drug kingpin, Mrs Sherifat Kehinde Lawal with eight other suspects during its operatives’ raid on a drug haven in the Lagos Island area of Lagos State.

Early hours of Saturday, the news of the clash between men of the NDLEA and some thugs around the area circulated, where many were alleging the agency’s officials of shooting sporadically which led to the loss of lives of the resident in the area.

This was later debunked by the NDLEA who shed more light on the incident and urged people to disregard the fake news. Furthermore, the Nigerian anti-graft agency declared that its operatives only went to the area to arrest a major drug kingpin and the operation was successfully carried out.
