The Delta State Police Command has reportedly arrested 28 suspected cultists in the process of initiation into the Aiye confraternity in the Ogume community, Delta State.
The police command, who is said to have declared war against cultism, thuggery and other criminal activities across the state has nabbed 28 suspect who is on the verge of being initiated into the group/faction of cultism.
The Punch Newspaper gathered that the Delta State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Ali, had noted that the state under his watch would never be a haven for cultists and he has instructed all Divisional Police Officers and tactical commanders to continuously launch attacks on cultists’ hideouts across the state.
The State Police disclosed, in a statement released on Saturday by acting Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Edafe Bright, that its SACU operatives, based on the intelligence gathered, stormed a bush at night and arrested the suspects alongside other eight members of the cult group in Warri.

He noted that further investigation and the confessional statement got from one of the suspects led to the arrest of one 27-year-old Lucky Eluagu, alias DJ Lucky, in the Okpe local government area. The suspect confessed to being a valid member of the Aiye confraternity.
