England National Team captain, Harry Kane could be facing the wrath of FIFA when they play their opening game against Iran at the FIFA World Cup.
According to reports, the skipper of Three Lions of England has been banned by the world governing body, FIFA from wearing the one love armband which Kane is looking forward to using as a piece of his support for the LGBTQ community.
However, there are reports from Qatar that the Tottenham Hotspurs striker might be issued a yellow card if he decides to go against FIFA’s decision.
According to the report, Footballers that are coming to Qatar for the world’s most prestigious football tournament are not expected to display any support for the LGBTQ community because of the religious practice in Qatar.
The LGBT community is a loosely defined grouping of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and other queer individuals united by a common culture and social movements. These communities generally celebrate pride, diversity, individuality, and sexuality.
LGBT activists and sociologists see LGBT community-building as a counterweight to heterosexism, homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, sexualism, and conformist pressures that exist in the larger society.
England have been grouped alongside Iran, Wales and the USA.
