Shortly After The Arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, Sunday Igboho Disclosed He Has No Power To Fight Government.

A Yoruba Self-acclaimed freedom fighter and activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, simply known as Sunday Igboho, has said he doesn’t have the power to fight ordinary Local Government Chairman, not to talk of the Federal Government.

Igboho said this, shortly after the Nigerian media space hit with the news of the arrest of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu by the Nigerian government.

However, The convener of the Yoruba Nation rally revealed that he believed God would fight the battle to secure the secession for the Yoruba race.

Oloye Sunday Igboho revealed this while he was addressing some of his followers in a video, where he confirmed that the Yoruba Nation rally fixed to hold in Lagos on July 3 will be staged as planned.

He stressed that nobody has threatened to stop him and his followers from entering Lagos for the rally, adding that “whoever will not allow us to come to Lagos should do a video”.

Igboho stressed further that Lagosians were ready for the rally because they know it would be peaceful just like how it was held in Ondo, Ekiti, Osun and the other Yoruba States.

The Yoruba activist noted that Nigerians abroad have an interest in his movement and they have been contributing with funds to the project, stressing that he alone cannot achieve anything.

In his words:

“Those abroad are the ones contributing the money we use in buying vehicles and do other things. How many can I do? Sunday Igboho is not the only powerful person.”

“I can’t do it all alone. We must all unite. But someone must lead first. Moses was chosen to librate the Israelites before others join him. God will fight for us,” he said.

He reiterated that he has no power to fight the federal government, adding that he cannot fight an ordinary Local Government chairman. He stressed that it is only God that will fight the battle for them. He said:

“I don’t have the power to fight the Federal Government. In fact, I can’t fight an ordinary Local Government Chairman. But the battle is the Lord’s. God who is the head of the battle will fight for us. Our generation will emancipate the Yoruba race from slavery,” he said.
