The leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and Trades Union Congress (TUC) have expressed that they trust Nigerian President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Subsidy removal.
The two union leaders disclosed this after they had fruitful discussions with the Federal Government delegations which led to the suspension of their planned strike over the removal of fuel subsidy.
Speaking after the announcement, the union leaders hailed President Tinubu and revealed that the federal government has shown interest in holding dialogue as well as, providing palliatives to cushion the effect of the subsidy removal. They said;
“President Tinubu is on the right track”.
“We Suspended Planned Nationwide Strike Because The Federal Government Demonstrated Willingness To Hold Dialogue And Provide Palliatives To Cushion Effects Of Subsidy Removal”
