A group of armed bandits have killed a staff of the Emir of Birnin Gwari in Kaduna state and burnt his car, while the vigilantes accompanying him took to their heels.
This was revealed in a tweet posted by a former senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District, Shehu Sanni, on his verified Twitter handle on Saturday.
Sanni noted that the bandits opened fire at the car of the Emir’s staff and killed him in the process, and the vigilantes who were hired to provide him security took to their heels in the face of superior firepower by the bandits.
Also on the same road, he revealed that some ten people were kidnapped by bandits, even as he expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased.
