Why Atiku Abubakar Paid N12,430 While Peter Obi Paid 5,430 For Petition Filed – Lawyer

A Nigerian Lawyer, Barrister Bolanle Cole has revealed the reason why People’s Democratic Party candidate in February 25th presidential election Alhaji Atiku Abubakar paid more money than Labour Party’s candidate Peter Obi in court, after filing petitions to nullify Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of All Progressives Congress’ victory.

On Tuesday, Mr Peter Obi of Labour Party filed petition to nullify Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of All Progressives Congress’ victory as Nigeria’s President-elect, and court also confirmed that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of People’s Democratic Party has also filed petition against Tinubu.

Reading from the petitions released by the court of appeal in Abuja, Mr Peter Obi of Labour Party paid the sum of 5,430 Naira to court, while Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of People’s Democratic Party paid the sum of 12,430 Naira to court.

A lot of Nigerians have been reacting after Mr Peter Obi of Labour Party and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of People’s Democratic Party paid different amounts of money despite the fact that they both wrote petitions to the same court, and a Nigerian lawyer has now revealed why they did not pay the same amount of money.

Reacting after Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of People’s Democratic Party paid 12,430 Naira, while Mr Peter Obi of Labour Party paid 5,430 Naira, Nigerian Lawyer, Barrister Bolanle Cole posted on his verified Twitter handle that;

“Reason why Atiku paid 12430 while Peter Obi paid 5430 was due to the numbers of exhibits attached to the petition.”
