Chieftain of the Labour Party, Professor Pat Utomi has claimed that the outcome of February 25th poll was not the reflection of the outcome of the results.
It would be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission declared Asiwaju Tinubu as the winner of the poll.
According to INEC chairman, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu polled over eight million votes to defeat Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and Peter Obi of the Labour Party.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with New Telegraph Newspaper, Pat Utomi claimed that the All Progressive Congress didn’t expect that they would lose in Lagos state.
According to him, Labour Party defeated the ruling All Progressive Congress with a wide margin. He said the votes APC got is not more than 200,000 votes.
“They never expected it. They actually lost Lagos by a wide margin on the 25th of February not by what the rigging allowed as PDP people told you, they didn’t get up to 200,000 votes compared to Peter Obi scoring about a million votes. What is democracy is when people vote for their preference.”
