Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo of Rivers state has narrated some of the things that happened in his community before the announcement of the winner of the presidential election.

Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, “from onset, I told you all that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win and he won but before I voted on that day, I saw some people who told me that they met in Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi’s House and were directed to vote either Peter Obi of the Labour Party or Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party.”

Narrating further, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, “I was surprised because a night before the election day, I had a meeting with members of different political parties in my community and we all agreed to vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. I felt betrayed because I trusted them when they went in agreement with we that night but did something else during the day. If I had gone gone to organize voting early in the morning on the election day, I know that might not have happened but I did not because I thought me and my people already had an agreement. I trusted them but they stabbed me.”

Again, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, “when I heard all they said, I started calling several leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC). I gave it my all because Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu helped me throughout my time in detention and the only way I was to pay him back is through the election.”

Lastly, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, “if you all realize, I did not talk about Alhaji Atiku Abubakar while campaigning, it is because he was formerly a spare tire vice president who had no power to make executive orders. I keep talking about Peter Obi, Tinubu and Kwankwaso because they were formerly governors in their states.”
