“He’s No Longer Our Pilot,” Azman Airline Distances Their Organization From Dangote Son-In-Law’s Deborah’s Killing Justification Comment

Azman Airlines has debunked the news that suggested that Jamil Abubakar, a son-in-law to Billionaire Aliko Dangote, who made a justification comment on the killing of Deborah Samuel by Islamic extremists, is their pilot.

The airline has distanced its organisation from Jamil, 24 hours after he justified the killing of the innocent lady by a heartless set of people over alleged blasphemy.

Nigerians, with the impression that Mr Abubakar was an Azman Air staff, have launched attacks against the company for employing the services of a perceived religious bigot and fanatics.

Dissociating the airline from Mr Abubakar, Azman Air released an official statement to inform Nigerians that the pilot had ceased to be their staff since 2019.

The airline noted that its organisation will not take responsibility for a comment or view of someone who had before worked for them and, however, urged the general public to kindly take note of their statement.

The statement reads:

“PUBLIC NOTICE: Capt Jamil Abubakar is no longer a pilot @AzmanAir; his last flight with us was 22nd Dec 2019,” Azman Air said in a rebuttal tweet. “We refuse to take responsibility for a comment or view of a former staff. The general public should kindly take note.”

Deborah Samuel, a 200-level student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, was accused of blasphemy after she complained bitterly over the influx of religious broadcast messages shared to her department’s WhatsApp group.

Her complaints elicited the fury of fanatic coursemates and schoolmates who stoned her to death and set her lifeless body ablaze.
