Abayomi Arabambi, a chieftain of the Labour Party (LP) faction led by Lamidi Apapa, has again accused the embattled National Chairman of the party, Julius Abure, of forgery, saying they won’t allow the corruption in the party to continue.
Arabambi said this on Sunday in an interview with Arise TV, while reacting to claims that their actions against the embattled National Chairman could frustrate the chances of its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, at the election tribunal.
The LP chieftain added that the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) should be allowed to continue in government if LP would act like the two major political parties.
Speaking further, he insisted that Abure isn’t a man of integrity. He claimed that the party won’t be different from the APC and PDP if they decide to ignore the allegations of forgery against the party leadership. He said that they are trying to build the party on a solid foundation, adding that corrupt members won’t be allowed into Aso Rock.
“We have told the world that we won’t cooperate with anyone that have the audacity to forge the seal of a judge and then tell us that you are Obidient. If we (LP) will be this corrupt, then we should allow APC and PDP to continue in government. We don’t have any business going into governance.”
