Omoyele Sowore, the Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has said nobody can stop the proposed Peter Obi rally in Lagos State.

Mr Sowore, who alleged that the plan to obstruct the rally is the evil plan of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the state governor, noted that such process of trying to use court action against the peaceful rally would not work.

Recall that a suit challenging the proposed rally for the LP presidential candidate was heard in a Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos.

The presiding Justice Emeka Osiagor adjourned the hearing to 23rd September for further hearing.

Speaking on the court action against what he described as the rights of citizens to peaceful assembly, Sowore took to his official verified Twitter handle and wrote:

“NOBODY Can stop @peterob @UKLabour rally in Lagos. I guess these are Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu minions suing to stop Labour Party and Mr. Peter Obi from staging a rally in Lagos. These people have gone nuts, and must be disgraced out of Nigeria’s political space.”

He revealed that he is, “planning rallies on the same day across Nigeria and on October 20, 2022, to commemorate #EndSARS massacre perpetrated by Muhammadu Buhari and his APC cohorts in Lagos, so be prepared for your worst nightmare!”

Sowore added that the court action against the court will not dampen the desire of the citizens for a change of people-oriented government.

He added, “These acts will not delay their day of judgment. Well, your problems just got worse because we are PS: The position stated here is our long-held stance that nobody has a right to truncate the rights of our compatriots to freely assemble!”
