Charly Boy vs Tinubu

Nigerian veteran singer, Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa popularly known as Charly Boy has taken to his social media handles to slam Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigeria’s President-elect, for not showing up at the court during the hearing of the Presidential Election Petition file against him by aggrieved presidential candidates of Labour Party, PDP and others.

Charly Boy, in his post, emphasized that the former governor of Lagos State is only concerned with doing everything to get inaugurated on May 29 but he had refused to even show up in court to defend his mandate.

Recall that the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) sitting in Abuja, on Monday, barred Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State from standing before it as the representative of the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

In addition, Charly Boy stated this in a recent post he shared on Twitter.

Quoting the original statement he released online, he said this, “Na wa for Tinubu oo. E just dey one corner dey wait for swearing in, e still dey send errand boys to chart the way for him. He refused to debate, he refused to show up to defend his acclaimed mandate but doing everything to be sworn in. My people, make me understand these moves”.
