A former Special Assistant to Late Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Politcal Matters and Community Relation, Arabinrin Ganiyat Olawore Omo-oku-orun, has declared intention to contest for the 2023 Oyo state House of Assembly election to represent Ibadan South East Local Government Constituency 2.
Arabinrin Ganiyat made her intention known while addressing her teeming supporters at her ward on Wednesday.
The 2019 Oyo State House of Assembly Candidate under the platform of the All Progressive Congress, APC, reiterated that she is ready to coast home to victory this time around with the unflinching support of her constituents, and that if elected, she would use her vast experience in politics to provide the right kind of representation to the Ibadan South East Constituency.
It should be recalled that Aarabirin Ganiyat Omokunmi Olawore is a woman with vast political experience. She had served in three different capacities as Special Assistant to former Oyo State Governor, Late Senator Abiola Ajimobi on Political matters, Community Relations and later on Agriculture. Ganiyat is also the Oyo State Representative of APC Progressive Young Women forum and the State Representative of Nigeria women Convener.
While addressing her Constituents, Ganiyat assured them of proper and best representation at the State’s House of Assembly, while also vowing that the interests of his Constituency will be well protected at the floor of the House. Morever, she gave them the assurance that the integrity of the constituency will be flown very high, if, by the special grace of the Almighty, she becomes a member of the Oyo state House of Assembly.
The former Special Assistant also pledges to sponsor bills that will priotize and advocate for adequate child education, most especially girl child, and also those that would provoke human capacity development of his Constituency and Oyo State at large.
She stated further that the hallmark of her service to her Constituency will centre around rural empowerment of women with small scale and large scale enterprises through collaboration with the Sustainable Development Goals, SDG.
Arabinrin Ganiyat concluded that she is prepared to deliver. She emphasized that her presence in the house would provide robust and impactful legislations, and not just to fufil the quota representation for gender balance without concomitant performance.
Those present at the gathering were delighted to receive the woman of substance, even as they referred to her as a virtous woman with impressive pedigree and good family background in ibadanland.
