Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Bode George has condemned the act of student loans in Nigeria, describing the bill as one that would not favour everyone, especially the children of the poor people.
Bode George said this while he was talking with the media about President Bola Tinubu’s government, noting that he laughed after he heard that the president has signed the students’ loan bill into law.
The PDP chieftain who known for attacking Tinubu added if the president wants to bring up a policy, he should bring up the one that will favour everyone”.
In his words:
“He shouldn’t bring up a policy that will only favour the children of the privileged and not favour the children of the those who are not privileged to collect the loan. I laughed a litte after hearing that Tinubu has signed students’ loan bill into law. Don’t make the students carry a burden of load after they are done with their education”.
“There are other alternative to this thing, there are scholarships to be given to students, they can also be given free education. Not students loan which can only be beneficial to only a few students in Nigeria”. Bode George said.
