The release of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ministerial list has continued to draw mixed reactions among Nigerians as a former senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria warned the President against appointing a serpent into his cabinet.

In a new reaction to the President’s ministerial nomination list, a former Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani advised Bola Tinubu against a “serpent” nominated to serve as minister in his administration.

Speaking during an interview on Arise TV, Shehu Sani, warned President Tinubu to exercise caution when dealing with former Governor Nasir El-Rufai.

It should be noted that the two Kaduna politicians, El-rufai and Senator Sani have been rivals for many years.

Speaking further Senator Sani accused that El-Rufai was the one who caused discord between former President Olusegun Obasanjo and his Vice, Atiku Abubakar. In his words;

“Was he (El-Rufai) not a minister when issues came up between Obasanjo and Atiku? It is going to be the same thing. If you see any discord between President Tinubu and Shettima, the same person caused it.”

“If you see any discord between Mr president and members of his cabinet, he is still going to be the person that planted that discord. He has that history and track record.

“This is not a prophecy but a proven fact of what had happened, so I am saying that they have brought a serpent into their government. And they are going to pay the price for it,” Senator Sani told Arise TV

In what seems like a serious advice to President Tinubu, the former senator advised that the president need to be watchful, saying any of his cabinet member who fails to meet expectations should be removed and replaced.
