The whereabouts of Father Mbaka, an outspoken Catholic Priest and founder of Adoration Ministry of Enugu, is now unknown, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, OYC, has raised alarm to the world.

The fiery Enugu pastor was last seen on Tuesday, and those close to him have also confirmed that his whereabouts is still unknown up till now.

Recall that the cleric has been in the news lately after he asked President Muhammadu Buhari to resign or be impeached; a call that was instantly followed by a revelation by the Presidency that his attack on Buhari was as a result of the refusal of the President to give him a contract.

Daily Post reported that it has reached out to the close associate of the fiery Pastor, but stated they declined to make comments, as they still feel the picture was not clear yet to reach a conclusion.

However, Ohanaeze Youth Council has now claimed that the priest was missing, and therefore giving the Federal Government 48 hours ultimatum to produce him alive.

In a statement issued by the President-General of OYC, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, he said:

Mbaka was last seen on Tuesday, adding that every effort to trace him had failed.

He stated further:

We have it on good authority that his aides have neither seen nor heard from him since Tuesday. Calls put to his mobile line have also remained unanswered; this has now prompted us to issue this alarm as we would not take it lightly should anything untoward happen to him.

The group now give the Federal Government of Nigeria 48 hours to produce the priest, failure which they should be ready to face the wrath of Igbo youths.

The Igbo youths noted that the presidency was until now dining and wining with the pastor, and that merely speaking the truth to the authority should not be enough reason for them to harm him.

Let nothing happen to Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka. It will not be in anybody’s interest,” the group warned.

According to Daily Post, a source close to the pastor disclosed that he was last seen yesterday, Tuesday, when he departed to honour an invitation by his Bishop.

DAILY POST also learnt that following the apprehension, all the youths of the ministry have been summoned to the Adoration ground to forge common ground on what next to do.

In the message inviting the youths to the Adoration ground and sighted by the newspaper, the church called on all the youths to gather and stand for justice for Father Mbaka.

The message read:

Good morning friends and well-wishers. Please if you know you stand for justice and you do not want the lone voice that speaks for the poor in this country to be silenced, gather at Adoration ground let’s go for a protest at the Bishops court.

The message further noted that Fr. Mbaka is nowhere to be found and that all calls to his phone have gone unanswered. It now urged all the youths to gather to debate the way forward.
