A Chieftain of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Buba Galadima has alleged that certain individuals in Nigeria are richer than the Federal and the state government.
The Elder Statesman made this known in an interview on Arise TV where he speaks about the subsidy removal decision made by the Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Galadima stressed that President Tinubu’s decision to remove fuel subsidy will affect these certain wealthy individuals and asserted that the decision was a hard one but had to be made to rescue the Nation.
The NNPP Chieftain stressed further that these certain individuals, due to their wealth and the way they acquired have become ‘warlords and security risks for the country.’
In his words, ”There are so many unaccounted billions of dollars in the pocket of several individuals in this country. That when they are recovered, it can settle our debt and also propel us to development. This is a hard decision that the President has to take in order to recover looted funds from Individuals. The greatest danger that has faced our country today is that there are individuals in Nigeria that are richer than the FG and State government. In other climes, these people become warlords and security risks for the country.”
