Sowore vs Tinubu

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress in the last presidential election and Human Rights Activist, Omoyele Sowore has again taken a swipe at the new President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the removal of fuel subsidy.

Recall that during the inauguration speech of the new President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he stated that his new government will remove the subsidies on fuel. The removal of fuel subsidy is currently generating mixed reactions from many notable Nigerians and has caused fuel scarcity in many parts of the country.

The Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC has also threatened to embark on a strike action starting from Wednesday to press home their demands concerning the removal of fuel subsidy of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu government.

Omoyele Sowore said; “When Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was bragging that he will remove subsidy whether people protest or not, no matter how long the protest would last he was speaking with a certainty driven by the impunity he’d practiced in Lagos since he captured Lagos in 1999. However, he forgot that so many of the recent struggles that were rooted in recent revolts across Nigeria, particularly targeted his feudal lordship over Lagos.

The outspoken politician added; “He’s about to face a national resistance that will clear his doubts regarding his recent thoughtless petrol subsidy policy. Sri Lanka on my mind!”

The recent post by Omoyele Sowore on his verified Facebook page has generated a lot of reactions from his fans and numerous followers on the social media platform.
