The remaining abducted Abia State University Uturu (ABSU) student, has reportedly been released following the restless efforts of the state government and the school management in securing the freedom of the student.

It should be recalled that some ABSU students and their co-travellers were abducted by kidnappers in a commercial bus along Uturu-Okigwe road in Imo State last Wednesday.

This was disclosed by Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu Saturday in a thread of tweets posted on his official Twitter handle @GovernorIkpeazu,

Gov. Ikpeazu, in his tweet, declared the student freed from the abductors and confirmed that he had spoken with her and her mother on phone. He commended the efforts of the security agents and the ABSU school management for the job well done and also promised to take the fight to criminals’ dens in the state.
