FG Constitutes Committee To Reduce Youth Movement Out Of Nigeria.

Nigerian Government has constituted a Committee that will work towards reducing the number of Youths that believed in traveling overseas to find greener pastures.

Federal Government of Nigerian has kick-started the process the action to speed up the operationalisation of the presidential deliverables to widened internal security.

According to Daily Post, Nigerian Government through Ministry of Interior, has constituted a Task Force for the assignment.

According to a statement issued by the Director of Press, Blessing Lere-Adam, noted the Permanent Secretary, Shuaib Belgore inaugurated the committee.

Umaru Abu of the ministry is working with a team from the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF).

The Task Force, chaired by the Director, Planning Research and Statistics, Kabiru Ayuba, would have representatives of the four services under the ministry, among others.

The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola condemned the rate at which young people are repudiating their citizenship of Nigeria.

The minister, however, instructed the committee to work with the Nigeria Citizens and Business Department of the ministry on the Expatriate Quota.

In his words, Aregbesola said he believe the new development will work towards dissuading the youths from looking for greener pasture outside Nigeria.

Among the presidential deliverables (2019 – 2023) is the ease of tourist visa requirements.

The recruitment, deployment and training of personnel in the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) will be reviewed.

Also included is the implementation of the rehabilitation plan towards the decongestion of the Nigerian Correctional Centres.
