The operatives of Lagos Police Command have reportedly foiled hoodlum’s attack on Dangote Refinery’s facilities in a swift operation that led to the killing of one of the vandals, while others escaped with bullet wounds.
The vandals, who attempted to enter the refinery through the lagoon to loot and vandalize the power installations therein, were swiftly engaged by the security operatives on duty who were able to foil the operation.
HotNewsInNaija gathered that one of the vandals was killed while others escaped with bullet wounds.
In a statement released by Eons Intelligence, a security and intelligence outfit in charge of the installations, the Nigerian police officers were said to have mobilized to secure the facility against any further attacks.
The statement via the twitter handle of the security outfit @eonintelligenc read:
“@LagosPoliceng operatives foiled attempt to vandalize power installations at Dangote Refinery, Lagos by armed hoodlums who came in thru the lagoon. 1 of the vandals shot dead while others escaped with bullet wounds. @PoliceNG officers hv mobilized to secure the facility.”
