Train Attack: Victim Confirms He, Many Others Were Rescued By Soldiers, Gives Thanks To God

A rescued victim in the Abuja-Kaduna train attacked by a group of bandit terrorist, Usman Modibbo, has confirmed that he alongside many others were rescued by operatives of the Nigerian Army.

The victim revealed this in a series of tweets he posted via his Twitter handle, @DrModibbo1.

Modibbo, in his tweet, disclosed that after they were rescued from the train, they left where the incident happened and walked down to the Kaduna to Abuja expressway where they were being carried by bus provided by the Kaduna state government to where they all found their way back home.

The victim, thereafter, gives thanks to God who saved his life and prayed for those who lost their lives to the unfortunate incident. He also expressed his gratitude to the soldiers who came to their rescue.

Also confirming the intervention of the operatives of the Nigerian Army on the bandits attack, the Kaduna state government through a statement released by the Sate Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Arunwa, announced that the military had rescued the Kaduna-bound train passengers trapped by terrorist on Monday night.

Arunwa, conveying the information received from the security operatives, revealed that the military had rescued 1000 passengers while efforts are also being made to move the injured passengers to hospitals for urgent medical attention.

HotNewsInNaija reported yesterday the news of the terrorist attack on the Kaduna-bound train where a tension-struck passenger confirmed through a telephone call that the train was being shot at sporadically by the bandits.
