Former Presidential aide and human rights activist, Reno Omokri, has described the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike as a potential winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential ticket winner.
Mr Omokri said this in a statement released on Saturday via a tweet posted on his official verified Twitter handle, @renoomokri.
Governor Wike, in March, declared his intention to run for Presidency under the PDP and he has, since then, been claiming that he’s the best candidate the opposition party can present in the general election if they truly want to take power back from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
However, people who seem not to have belief in the presidential aspirant have been rubbishing him, calling him a noisemaker and someone that did not have what it takes to challenge in the primary election.
Contrary to people’s opinion, Mr Omokri argues that Wike is not a noisemaker but a strategist that needs to be feared. He stressed that the Rivers state governor is the only Southerner that is capable of winning the PDP presidential primary.
The tweet read:
“Wike is not making noise. But he is making news. Fear him! If any Southerner can win the PDP primary, it is Wike.”
