A Veteran Nigerian hip hop singer, rapper and a songwriter, Eedris Abdulkareem, has fired a salvo at the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, over his claims that he begged to support Buhari in 2018, saying the junior Minister has lost every legitimacy as a comrade.
Recall that Keyamo had earlier shared screenshots of his previous chats with someone who he claimed was begging him for money and also pleading for a chance to be part of Buhari’s campaign sometimes in 2018, and then revealing the person’s identity to be Eedris – a scenario that generated a lot of reactions from Nigerias, with people condemning the Minister for revealing Eedris personal identity on Twitter, and thus calling for the Minister’s Twitter account to be sanctioned.
However, fact emerged that the Minister’s unholy action was in reaction to the Legendary hip hop singer’s newly released single titled “Jaga Jaga Reloaded” – a song that was mainly released to tackle the lapses of the Nigerian Government, and in which Keyamo’s name was specifically mentioned.
Responding to this, Eedris took to his Instagram account to called out the minister; describing him as a Senior Advocate Blackmailer of Nigeria. In his post, the veteran rapper accused Keyamo of joining the cabal because his next ambition is to become the governor of Delta State.
Eedris explained how he supported Keyamo when he was in prison, thinking he was a good comrade that could be relied upon at the turn of tide. He stated further that the Minister, however, refused to pay him back when his own mother was sick and he contacted him for help.
The rapper said further that while he thought Keyamo could effect change in the government, then he opted to join the cabal. He now described the minister as a wicked person and a blackmailer for keeping a screenshots of personal details for three years – an act he described as the “real hallmark of a blackmailer.”
