After 28 Years of Waiting, Buhari Finally Redeem House Pledge to 1994 Super Eagles

After long 28 years of waiting, The administration of President Muhammadu Buhari has finally redeemed the allocation of houses to 22 members of the 1994 Super Eagles in their various states, in fulfilment of the pledge made to them by the Federal Government of Nigeria for winning the 1994 African Nations Cup.

President Buhari made this revelation while commisioning some houses under the National Housing Programme Initiative in Lafia, Nasarawa state on Monday, March 7, 2022.

Apart from the commisioning in Nasarawa, the same is line up to take place in 34 other states of the federation where the first phase of the houses have been completed, and this will offer the 22 members of the 1994 Super Eagles the opportunity to get their houses in any of their state of choice in Nigeria.

The President was represented by the Minister of State for Science, Technology, and Innovation, Muhammed Abdullahi, who described the completion of the housing projects as a fulfillment of the promise of change that was made to the people by Buhari’s administration.

While praising the government of Nasarawa state for providing the land for the project, the President noted that the provision of the housing estates across the states of the federation is to fulfil the government’s primary objectives of improving the human condition.
