All Backlogs of International Passports to be Cleared Before May, 2021 – Nigeria Immigration Service

Recourse has come the way of Nigerians as the  Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has declared that all existing Passport application backlogs that have put many Nigerians in a tight corner would all be cleared before May, 2021.

This was stated by the Service in an interactive media briefing being coordinated by the Honourable Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, on the current challenges in Passport administration and issuance that is ongoing at the Service Headquaters in Abuja.

According to the update on the interactive media briefing provided on the verified Twitter handle of the Service, the Nigeria Immigration has promised the many affected Nigerians not to be swayed, as all the backlogs of passport applications would be concluded before May 2021.

The tweet stated: Clearing of all existing Passport application backlogs across all Issuing Centres to be concluded before May 2021.”

And in this regards, we enjoined all affected Nigerians to remain hopeful that this will be achieved. It is just in a matter of one month.
