Keyamo

The spokesman for All Progressives Congress (APC) 2023 Presidential Campaign Council and Nigerian Minister of State for Labour and Employment and, Festus Keyamo, has said that the Presidential candidate of the ruling party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu attended Chicago State University and graduated with what is equivalent to First Class.

Mr Keyamo stated this in a recent interview on Arise News, noting that the institution confirmed that the former Lagos State governor was their student.

He said that another thing that some young people don’t know is that in the past, some people did not attend secondary school, but they wrote the General Certificate of Education (GCE) from home and went straight into university.

The minister said that not everyone attended secondary schools in those days, and that such a feat was achieved by great men. He said that it is a virtue and not a vice. He said that one of the best lawyers this country has ever produced, Afe Babalola, did not attend get a formal education in the four walls of a secondary school.

Keyamo was then asked if he was trying to say that Tinubu did not attend primary and secondary schools, and he said that Tinubu did not reveal it. But that people should note that in those days people did not have to attend secondary school before they could go to university.

Mr Keyamo stressed that this was one of the virtues which great men could be identified with in the past, that they could burn the midnight oil from home and pass their exams without attending secondary school.

He was then asked if he could confirm that Bola Tinubu has certificates for his primary, secondary and university education, and he said that he has.
