Tolu Ogunlesi, Special Assistant to President Buhari on Digital and New Media, has condemned the usual behaviour of Nigerians who talk down on their country when they relocate abroad, urging them to stop putting up such habit.

President Buhari’s media aide disclosed this in a statement released via his official verified Twitter handle, @toluogunlesi.

Ogunlesi said he believed in freedom of travelling abroad to stay but berated Nigerians that used to say “the evil Naija has done is enough” immediately they found their way out of the country, adding that they should stop being obsessed with talking down on Nigeria from their new locations.

He stressed that instead of them continuing to speak ill of Nigeria, they should help their mental health and focus on their new life at their new beloved locations.

Ogunlesi stressed further that if they truly believe that Nigeria is not good enough for their mental health and decided to leave, they should stop being obsessed with the most negative aspects of the country where ever they are.

He, however, urged them to, out of their enlightened interest protect their mental health.

In his tweet:

“I firmly believe in freedom of Japa. People should live & thrive wherever they wish.

“What I don’t understand is ‘The Evil Naija Has Done Is Enough’ people who still OBSESS with talking down on Nigeria from new locations.”

“Why not help your mental health & focus on your new life?

“If you genuinely believe Nigeria is bad for your mental health, and you’ve decided to leave, why do you insist on staying obsessed with the most negative aspects of the country from where you are?

“Why do you not, out of enlightened self interest, protect said mental health?
