Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, the senator representing Ondo South, has struck back at those wishing the Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu death, saying those ‘wicked and evil people will die before him.’

Recall that there have been speculations about the governor’s ill health as some were insinuating that the Governor is not well and may lose his life anytime soon.

Akeredolu had initiated a 21-day leave on June 7, intending to return on July 6.

However, he has since extended his medical leave, updating the state house of Assembly on his situation.

Speaking to State Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday, the party’s National Chairman, Adamu Abdullahi had said Akeredolu is hospitalised and in a state of “extreme incapacity.”

But speaking to journalists on Tuesday, Senator Ibrahim said those wishing for the death of Akeredolu “would die before him”.

The lawmaker expressed surprise over the continuous speculation on the health of the Ondo State governor.

He said: “I want to express my displeasure in the way people are talking about Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s health as if he’s the first public office holder to fall sick,” Ibrahim said.

“We are all in this country when former President Muhammadu Buhari was out of the country for medical attention for about six months.

“I can bet you, those wicked and evil people who are wishing Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu dead will die before him by God’s grace.”
