Two Men Arrested, Set Ablaze After Caught With Fresh Human Head in Ogun.

• The suspects have already been arrested and taken to the police station.

• Some irate youths later broke into the police cell to drag out the two suspected ritualists.

• The youths troop to the police station in their hundreds because they believe the suspects must be dealt with immediately.

Two men caught with a fresh human head has reportedly been set on fire at Oja-Odan, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State. This is coming hours after a couple were arrested with fresh human parts at Leme area of Abeokuta.

The suspects who were identified as Johnson Adebiyi and Idowu Afolabi were said to have earlier been arrested and detained at Oja Odan police station on Saturday. But some angry youths in the community who were not pleased with them being at the police station were said to have forcefully broken into the police cell to drag out the two suspected ritualists.

Daily Post gathered that the youths, who were in their hundreds, bundled the two men to an open space in front of the police station and set them ablaze.

According to an eyewitness who spoke to Daily Post correspondent, the youths were the ones who caught the suspects with a fresh human head. But men of Nigerian Police came to take them away.

However, after an hour, the youths decided that the killers must immediately be dealt with. They, therefore, mobilized themselves in hundreds and headed to the police station. The source said:

“The youths forced themselves into the police cell, dragged the suspects to an open space in front of the police station and set them on fire.”

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said he would issue a statement about the incident later.

The cases of ritual killing are now becoming rampant in the country, most especially in Ogun.

Barely two weeks, reports have it that three young boys were arrested for cutting off the head of a girl for money rituals. It was also reported earlier today that a couple were arrested with fresh human parts at Leme area of Abeokuta.
