Super Eagles interim manager, Augustine Eguavoen, has said he’s confident that his players are very sharp and ready to beat Black Stars of Ghana to the 2022 FIFA World Cup ticket.
Eguavoen, while speaking during a press conference on Wednesday, ensured that his boys will do what it takes on the field to defeat the Ghanaians in the though World Cup qualifier tie coming up later this week.
Nigeria Super Eagles will slug it out with their perennial rivals in the first leg of the WCQ playoffs at Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi on Friday, while the return leg is fixed at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja next week Tuesday.

While they are preparing for the puissant match, the Super Eagles interim coach said his team is filled with a strong and large pool of players who are very sharp and ready to show their quality on the pitch against the Ghanaians. He added that the match is a crucial one and a lot of things is at stake but his boys will do the talking on the pitch.

“It’s a very crucial match, a lot is at stake.”
“The most important thing is to qualify for the World Cup.
“We have a strong squad and a large pool of players to choose from.
“The boys are sharp and ready to go.
“We have to win well against Ghana to get over the line.
“We will do the talking on the pitch.”
The set of outstanding players present at the Super Eagles camp, which includes the likes of Napoli SC goal machine, Victor Osimhen, Almeria point man, Sadiq Umar, Leicester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho, Watford FC’s Dennis Emmanuel and others, had a light training session yesterday and they have done another one this afternoon.
