Popular Nollywood actor, Murphy Afolabi has reportedly passed away today, Sunday, May 14.
Details about the circumstances surrounding his death are still unclear. But some report have that the popular actor died after a tragic fall in his bathroom inside his home.
One of his colleagues, Odunlade Adekola shared a post on his Instagram page and wrote, “Jesus Christ, we lost Murphy.”
Also confirming the dead of the popular actor, BBC Yoruba in a post on their verified Facebook page uploaded the photo of the decease and captioned it with “Ilè n jè’yàn. Gbajúgbajà òsèré, Murphy Afolabi ti jàde làyé.”

Afolabi was a well-known face in the Nigerian film industry, having starred in several movies and TV shows over the years. He was also a producer and director, and had won several awards for his work.
