The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has announced the reduction of tuition of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH students by 25 per cent.
Sheyi Makinde revealed this to the students on Tuesday when he visited them at the institution and also took to his official Twitter page to announce to the general public.
The governor said the reduction was done even though the institution tuition was the lowest in the entire South-West and he assured that the reduction will cut across the board.
Speaking further, Governor Makinde states that he had fulfilled the campaign promises he made to the students during the election as he has reconstructed the Under G Road and secured the sole ownership of LAUTECH for Oyo state.
He also disclosed that every student of the institution will benefit from the reduction, whether indigenes or non-indigenes, even new students.
“There will be a reduction of 25 per cent across the board,” he said.
