A Nigerian lawyer and social media activist, Reno Omokri, has congratulated the Lagos State incumbent governor and All Progressives Congres (APC) candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, even though the result of the gubernatorial election has not been announced.
As of 9pm on Saturday, the Independent National Electoral Commission has so far uploaded 66,634 election results from the governorship and state Houses of Assembly elections with Lagos state having over 7,014 and Sanwo-Olu in an early lead.

In a post shared on Instagram, Reno said the result he has seen so far makes him very happy and further questioned if Lagos is still no man’s land.
He wrote: “Is Lagos still a no man’s land? The result of the Lagos gubernatorial #NigerianElections2023 appears to have settled that question in a way that makes me very happy.
“Not that I am declaring results, or saying who won. But from the bottom of my heart, let me just say Congratulations Sanwo-Olu!”
