When The Time Is Ripe, Bola Ahmed Tinubu Will Show What He’s Made of – By Fatai Alimi

It is laughable to think that Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a former Nadeco strongman, a man who fought tooth and nail for the liberation of Nigeria from the claws of the military dictators, a former Senator and former governor of not just any state, but the almighty Lagos state, does not have the capacity to grant interview or face the media. Nothing could be more funny.

Any close observer of Nigerian politics will know he does that with ease, his records speak volumes. But the Jagaban I know is only playing by the rule: When you make yourself too available, you become common, your ideas become boring and you yourself become worn out.

This is already happening to Peter Obi. He is already demystified. He has shown the maximum of his capacity and everyone now knows that even though he appears at the surface to be full of ideas, he is actually empty.

Tinubu is a master strategist. He will make a mess of the people who thought he couldn’t grant an interview with a lot of it when the real campaign starts. He knows the game and I think Atiku is also learning very fast from him. Tinubu is only saving the best for the last.
