Social media have been set on fire since when the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo declared his intention to run for presidency come 2023.
Osinbajo, while making the declaration, noted that if he’s allowed to rule as the Nigerian President he will build on President Buhari’s legacy and continue the good work the president has been doing for the past seven years.
However, Nigerians read different meanings to Osinbajo’s declaration speech as those who seem to have belief in the Vice President keep celebrating him for coming out straight to declare his intention to run for president while many others described his speech as nothing but empty promises.
They chided the vice president for speaking for seven minutes without stating any tangible thing he has achieved in his 7 years of service as the Nigerian V. P., but only making empty promises. They went on to describe his speech as empty as his boss, “President Muhammadu Buhari’s WAEC certificate.”
Osinbajo, having declared his intention known, will now face the likes of his former boss, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, the present Minister for Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bellow, in the All Progressive Congress, APC, primary election to fight for the presidential ticket.
