A Brazilian and Paris Saint Germain talisman, Neymar Da Silva Jr, has on Sunday promised a warrior display for The Parisians in their UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg with Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium as his team looks to reignite the hope of finding themselves in the final following their first-leg deficit, The Telegraph has reported.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men were 2-1 down as they attempt to reach the final for the second successive year and the former Barcelona star is aiming to turn the game on its head on Tuesday and handed PSG a chance of becoming European champions for the first time.

The Brazil star in a statement on Sunday said his side found it difficult to lift to The Citizens’ level in the first leg but they still have to believe and not pay attention to what the stats say or what their percentage chances of winning are. He added:

I think every Parisian should believe in us. I am on the front line and I will be the first warrior to go into battle for the team.

Neymar stressed that he will do everything to secure see PSG to the final no matter what happens, even if they need to die out there on the field.

Paris struggled to a 2-1 victory on Saturday over Lens in Ligue 1 and the Brazilian admitted that there was certain tiredness within the squad. He said:

A large part of the team was tired, more mentally than physically, and we need to recover as quickly as possible,” he said.

Paris Saint Germain still opens to win three major trophies this season as they sit one point behind Ligue 1 leaders Lille and are also in the semi-finals of the French Cup.
