Barely two days to the All Progressives Congress (APC) national convention, President Buhari has invited the party’s founding fathers into a get-together at the presidential villa for family delibrations on how to make the convention a success.
The meeting was held on Thursday at the presidential villa
Topping the list of the invitees is the national leader of the APC and a topmost Presidential Aspirant under the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the pioneer National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Bisi Akande.
Others invited to the dinner is the former Imo State governor and a presidentual aspirant of the party, Senator Rochas Okorocha. Also present at the meeting is the Transportation Minister, Rotimi Amaechi, who is also beleived to be nursing Presidential ambition.

As reported by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), all the personalities and APC’s founding fathers were called upon by the president in a get-together organized to show the president’s appreciation to all the critical stakeholders for their support and cooperation towards the success of the Administration over the years.
The agency also reported that the invitation extended to all those important stakeholders in the party was for the president to show gratitude towards them for keeping faith with the goals, ideals and agenda of the rulling party.
Apart from those mentioned above, others in attendance included Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state, Aminu Masaki of Katsina, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Ogbonnaya Onu, Ibrahim Shekarau and Aliyu Wamakko.

The Chairman, Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee of the party, Mai Mala Buni, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, also attended the dinner.
Details of the discussions at the interactive dinner has not been revealed as at the time of filing this report, nonetheless, it is clear that some of the discussions will center around the upcoming national convention and how it would be successful and rancour free.
