Cyber Crime: Two Nigerians Arrested for ATM Cards Cloning in India.

The Police have arrested two men in India after a man complained of his account being debited ₹1 lakh from his account without conducting any transaction, Sahara Reporters has reported.

The two culprits who said to be Nigerians have been identified as Nnam Gabriel Chukwuebuka and Bashir alias Lucas William/Omoike Godson.

It was gathered by Sahara Reporters that the unauthorised transactions were done at the same ATM in Kasarwadi, on three consecutive days, each between the hours of 6 and 8 in the morning.

The Report has it that Chukwuebuka who was living at Aundh was arrested on Thursday; while his partner, Bashir who stays in an Oyo facility in Rahatani, from where he was arrested on Friday.

Revealing the strategy used to arrest them, Police said they set a trap at the ATM on Thursday at 5:30 am and arrested Chukwuebuka, Hindustantimes.com has reported.

Following his arrest, it was found that Godson has been earlier arrested by the Pune Cyber-crime cell in another card cloning case, but was out on bail in that case.

Things that were recovered by them are four ATM cards from Chukwuebuka and ten cards from Godson’s residence. The police also claim to have recovered a card reader, a software CD, and adhesive tapes in two colours along with the cards.
