Photos: Tinubu Receives Nigerian Football Legends Led By Okocha and Kanu

All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has received the dignitary of some former Super Eagles Players, led by the magician and master of dribblers, Austin Jay Jay Okocha and most Nigerian Decorated player, Kanu Nwankwo, in preparation for a novelty football match organised to celebrate the former Lagos State Governor’s birthday.

Today, pictures have emerged of the players and the APC who is pursuing his presidential ambition ahead of the 2023 general election, having a meeting concerning the novelty match preparation.

Sharing the news to the general public, Tinubu posted via his official Facebook page, some of the pictures taken from the meeting, showing some of the happy moments they had during the meeting, which also looks like a reunion for the set of players who represented Nigeria in International Football Competitions held in the year 1994.

The APC presidential front runer posted those pictures and captioned them with some appreciative words, showing his excitement as he was honoured by those Nigerian Ex-international players. In his post:

The beautiful game of football is one sport that unites Nigerians of all walks of life – regardless of their age, status, tribe or religion.

“Today, I was privileged to receive some former players of our National Football team, the Super Eagles led by the prodigious Jay-Jay Okocha and highly decorated Kanu Nwankwo.”

“I thanked them for their service to country and they shared with me, their plans towards the novelty football match being organised to celebrate my birthday in a few days.

“Together, we will soar like eagles. That’s my prayer for Nigeria.”

Apart from Okocha and Kanu, others that graced the meeting are Obafemi Akinwumi Martins, Victor Ikpeba, Ike Shorunmu, Peter Rufai, Finidi George, Uche Okechukwu and so on.
